Surf Happens is Santa Barbara’s premier surfing school raised in the local waters of Santa Barbara, California. Our team of watermen and women are experts in the sport of surfing, sharing the spirit of Aloha and the magic of the ocean with others for over 14 years. We offer a wide variety of year round programs ranging from beginning to advanced.
Services include all ages surf lessons and camps, team building, corporate outings, birthday parties & special events, advanced clinics and coaching for the aspiring pro, surf guides, after school programs, independent P.E, and surfing contests. All instructors are CPR & First Aid certified, have undergone the Surf Happens teaching & surfing specific life saving programs. We also have background checks on file for all personnel.
In addition to our for profit business, the Surf Happens Foundation supports our nonprofit and charitable efforts which include surf camp scholarships, charitable surf days for at risk youth and children with cancer, first aid and CPR clinics, and environmental awareness programs.

Pura Vida Surf Contest & Beach Clean Up In Costa Rica!
On July 24th 2010, Surf Happens teams up with Pura Vida Church to present Playa Esterillos Surf Fiesta & Beach Cleanup! A group of Santa Barbara groms, and local tico kids and adults gathered for an all day beach cleanup and surf contest. Surf Happens provided cash and prizes to the finalists, pura vida!

Hugs For Cubs Surfing Day 2010
On Saturday, July 10, Surf Happens hosted a Hugs For Cubs Surf Day for children and their families afflicted by cancer at Santa Claus Lane in Carpinteria.
