Aubrey Falk is a 3rd generation native of Santa Barbara. Growing up at the beach with the ocean as her playground, she started swimming before she could walk and began body surfing and body boarding soon after. She stood up on a surfboard for the first time at the age of seven and knew she wanted to do it for the rest of her life. Aubrey entered her first surf contest at thirteen and received surfing sponsorship through several companies. This led her to test her surfing capacity in some of the worlds best waves- spending extended periods in Hawaii, Mexico, Central America, New Zealand, Australia, and Indonesia. In 2008 she co-founded the non-profit Surfers Without Borders, whose mission is to promote sustainable design to reduce ocean pollution. As an artist, she also paints images inspired by the beauty of our natural environment to invoke feelings of gratitude and hope for the planet and the next generation.
