SSS Channel Section Middle School event #4 went off in fine fashion on Saturday February 22 in Santa Monica as over one hundred competitors competed for their teams, ratings points, and a fun beach day. Crane School’s Jace Kennedy won his first shortboard event of the season with smooth spicy surfing, with Sam Reichel linking together nice power snaps and rail turns to finish second.
Adam Hogue was ripping in the short and long board divisions finishing second in longboard and 7th in shortboard, while the iron man Whit Shelburne ripped in short, long, and body boarding. Shaemus Ohearn put on a stellar performance making the longboard final and finishing 7th in shortboard. C-Mo Ridge made it to the third round, Alanna Moore placed third in Shortboard and 6th in Longboard, and overall Crane put on a great show.
A strong performance was put forth by all teams. Look for complete results on surfsss.org.
